Reliable information is the backbone of good communication, therefore, the information supplied to your brain must be accurate. Poor communication only leads to misunderstanding and frustration, which in turn may interfere with our interpersonal relationships on a daily basis. To Avoid Being (Unintentionally) Rude - One-eared individuals are more prone to be perceived as being rude because they "tend to ignore people who speak toward the deaf ear" while the good ear is "occupied with listening to other things" (Gardner).

Research/Anedoctal Evidence - Scientific research, as well as the personal experience of many hearing aid users, suggests that the majority of hearing impaired people can benefit greatly from wearing two hearing instruments.
